first dyno

just got my base dyno done the other day. this is a bone stock straight off the lot2010 Liftback. using 87 octane, 3000miles on the odm using factory havent changed yet oil. ordered AEM CAI, NST 10% pulleys (crank, water, alt). rear sway bar and SSK(irrevelant). ill do another dyno in a couple weeks when i get a chance. after the dyno, im switching to 93 octane and gonna change the oil to synthetic. then when my parts get here ill throw everything on.
here it is

I am amazed that i got that. i dont have the a/f chart but it was on the rich side

That's +7 bhp over the advertised 106, nice. What was your whp though?

That can't be whp, sorry. Just because it was on a dyno doesn't mean that's what the dyno was measuring. Not trying to rain on your parade, friend; the number just isn't possible on a stock Yaris with a 1.5L motor.

^ I cannot fathom that being whp either especially when the bhp is advertised at 106.

ilikerice, I would talk with your tech that performed the pulls for you. That really sounds incorrect. Either way, +7 over advertised bhp is a nice way to start off!

I hear ya on the distance thing. If I wasn't planning on moving I would have to drive 6 hours one way to get to the closest one in NH. If you check there is a thread that I believe may even be stickied that would be able to show you the baseline for our cars. Did you have to pay anything or did you get a hook up?

u know i really dont wanna go by any dyno for the base line. ive come across that not all engines are the same and id like to see my personal base line. then see the results myself. im more of a hands on and like to see results first hand. as for paying.. yes.. i did have to pay, and i dont get hookups. i used to know another guy but they went out of buisness.. cool guy. big into chump car racing.. anywho.. ill try to schedule an appointment this friday. i got autox this sat though.

To OP: Find out what "correction factor" was used on the dyno if any. Adjusting the factor can raise or lower the whp on a dyno run....

Maybe it's a factory freak? It's totally possible, I've seen a few cars that have dyoned with more power than they should from stock factory numbers.
