leather hand brake!

i read this post from the Malaysian gentlemen; http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60686
i ordered one post haste!
i forgot i ordered it, cause it took like a month to get.
it arrived!
the instructions are in Malaysian! (also English)
i took my time and now i'm a master leather seamstress.
the instructions say to use a screwdriver, but i found a better tool:

it's all curvy and smooth and small. it took a wile to find a rhythm, but it took about 30 minutes.

fits great!

Looks good!

I used a large needle to tighten the threads.

Btw the instructions were in Thai language.

Looks good!

It makes sense that you'd need to, but from the original post (I also noticed/commented in it) I didn't even realize tightening of the threads was required.

Now you're off to the car wash!

I also ordered one from Thailand a few months ago, & installed it a few weeks ago when it finally arrived on the slow boat. It actually looks (& feels) better in-person than pictures would otherwise indicate. $20 total well-spent.

I like it! Now you can add another skill onto the resume.

I've ordered some things from China off eBay that I completely forgot about until they show up a month later. Haha!

I believe I have seen posts of people buying leather steering wheel covers and having to stitch the cover on themselves.

I did my steering wheel this method. It was damn long to do.
