I like Kcalb Siray's hood, very original in my opinion and does not follow any other designs ;)

This is the hood that I'd like to see. Imagine a more or less OEM hood, with these vents located beside the headlights just outboard of the hood ridges. There would be short internal ducts to cover up the airfilter if needed, and it would do a good job venting the engine room while not screaming "hey...look at me!"

Sorry to post a pick of a Ford, but it's the closest thing I've found on the internet, and I have no Photoshop skills whatsoever. I'll try and scetch something later tonight.

Kinda, but the vent type and shape of the Focus WRC is more what I'm after.

This is a better pic that shows the black "ramp" inside the vent aperature, which could lead over an airfilter (to keep rain water off of the filter).

They are recessed towards the front I guess...they slope forward to draw air out of the hood towards the a-pillars.

I did a quick job, and I have to go and do some quizzes. Echo, can you touch up the paint on this one for me?

Oh, and I used your LB because it's so sexy

Heres my entry, simple and subtle. Retains functionality in a sleek, stealth integrated design without an overworked feel to it.

Wait, time out. Does this take into account the end of Daylight Saving Time? Cuz I may very well be doing a super late entry! ( i hope)

Okay, sorry about the crappy cell phone pics. I've moved like 4 times in the past year, and have my computer in one city, my scanner in another, and blah blah blah. Seeing as how the deadline is around the corner, I don't think I will have any more time than i do right now....at work....with crappy tools. (And i don't know squat about photo shop).
Anyway...

Design 1: This one is just a basic cowl induction type hood. A simple rise that let's the hot air out the back. Old School muscle car style. (Although, they used them to SUCK cooler air from the base of the window)

Design 1a: My friend suggested I include this one to try and give a better understanding of my cowl induction style hood. So here it is. (Though mine is more subtle, and follows the basic lines of the OG hood)

Design 2: This one is sort of a mixture of Design 1, along with a scoop design. For my idea, I'm looking at a raised center section, that still maintains the body lines (coming from the front bumper), while incorporating a small scoop. The functionality of the scoop may be enhanced with an additional fiberglass piece that is pretty much a tunnel incorporated with the scoop, that channels the air around and directs it just above the air filter (for those running an aftermarket kit).

Good luck to you all.
