Yaris Alignment question
Tomorrow I am getting some new rubber for my 2017 L. Original tires have 72,000 miles on them so I got my monies worth. I do have an issue with some uneven wear on the drivers side outside edge. It is significant compared to the passenger side but really all tires are pretty worn. I have taken out a possum with the passenger side wheel and had to straddle some moose sized deer roadkill. Although the roadkill missed all the front items it impacted the suspension on the passenger side with a pretty good hit. I had to get the hose out for some roadkill clean-up underneath. Visible I cant see any damage and that was a year ago. Steering wheel is centered and the car does not pull at all. I noticed the wear issue several thousand miles back. Also no one but me rides in the car (205lbs) so don't know if that would cause drivers side tires to wear more. My previous Yaris had 374,000 miles on it with no alignment done ever.
So maybe spending the money on an alignment job is in order? Just wondering if anyone has an opinion or experience. |

Usually recommended to have an alignment done every 15k or so. If it's been that long, probably not a bad idea.

I normally have my tracking checked and adjusted every time i get my front tyres changed. So every 40,000 miles and it normally does need some adjustment. It always seems to drift a bit.

Every set of tires or when the front end is disassembled to the point alignment is affected (camber included) is when my alignment guy makes money.

Thanks for the replies. Think its time. I put 35,000 miles a year on the car. That's why I bought another one after my 2008. These cars are great for getting lots of miles on them with no big issues.
