If you're ONLY getting the TB, I wouldn't say its worth it. You'll probably get a slightly better response from the engine, but thats about it.

I think he's talking about a full motor swap. Not worth it, in my opinion.

If you already have the motor I say do it, in PR finding a tranny for that engine should be no problem and someone to make the mounts either.

PR is the land of crazy swaps, I am sure you can get it done for a set of subwoofers and a bag of rice.

JK

Good luck though, there was a guy down there who already has a 2zz swap, he might be a good guy to find if you are looking to do a 1zz, pending the motor mounts are similar, he might already know how, or know a guy that has experience doing them.

That would be interesting. But worth it? What else do you plan to do to it? And what can you really get out of it? In my mind, putting something like a 4G63 or a 3SGTE would be more practical plus have a much higher ceiling.

It seems as if the bottom end of a 2zz and 1zz are the same. If you were to get a 1zz, you could get the 2zz head + harness + ecu and make that thing work.

If you decide to do the swap you could make that car a serious contender i say go for it. that car would be a monster with a full build up. thats just my opnion.

1zz and 2zz swaps require cutting the frame on both sides to fit the engine and transmission

the 1zz and 2zz both have front engine mount of which the yaris has none, so you'd also have to fabricate a cross memeber in the front to carry the front mount of the engine
