2008 Yaris Cruise Control
It's been a while since I've installed a cruise control. The last car I did this on was my 2004 Corolla. It seems that things have gotten a whole lot simpler.
Is it now really just a matter of installing the switch since the throttle is all drive-by-wire now? I just got back from a trip in my wife's 2008 Yaris and I really don't want to do another trip without cruise control. She won't help me with the drive in my Corolla because it's manual. She knows how to drive stick but just wimps out on me with it. If it's just a matter of a switch, what do you guys recommend? I've seen everything from the $200 kits to just a $15 switch. Although those cheaper ones don't seem to include mounting screws and wiring. I'm MECP certified and do mobile electronics for a living. Just haven't touched cruise control in a LONG time. Seems too good to be true to just have to install a switch. |
