Every time the rear brake conversion topic comes up, it gets thrown OFF topic.

Someone just spit it... does it even make sense? At what point does a car have too much stopping power?

When you step on the brakes and your eyeballs touch the windshield.

the only time it becomes an issue is when the brakes over power the tires.

since your tires are the ultimate determinate of your stopping power, not your brakes.

want better stopping distances? get some hoosiers!

new tires, and upgraded brakes up front would probably get the job done, I'm not sure what purpose rear discs would serve on a car this light, unless your after that last ounce of performance.

In my case I'll love to get my car on a Circuit track but with stock brakes and rear drums i wouldn't work. And I ride on 18' ande believe me the braking is not the same as stock
