NGK Spark Plugs 25% Off @ Canadian Tire

Just givin' a heads up I see in the Crappy Tire flyer this week that NGK plugs are on sale for 25% off this week. Gonna go grab a set of NGK Iridiums. Does anyone know the part number off hand even? Anyways at ~130,000KM so thinking now would be a decent time to replace the original set, regardless that the manual states 192,000KM before the first replacement.

The ones on sale that you want are either
BKR5EIX-11 in the packs of two
or
IFR5T-11 in the singles

The IFR is the "OE Laser Iridium", the BKR is the "Iridium IX" series.

Thank you very much. Would you recommend one of those 2 types over the other?

Neither, I've never noticed a performance or mileage difference over Laser Iridium's, Bosch Platinum +4 IR's, Platinum +4's or regular NGK V-groove copper plugs.

So I just run v-groove plugs all the time now and change them every 10-20k kms.

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to make a decision. You change your spark plugs that often though eh? I was thinking every 100,000KM would be sufficient enough?

I should have added that I race the car as well.
Apparently copper plugs only last around 30k kms (just did some googling), but they conduct electricity better.

With them being so cheap, the moment you notice a decrease in mileage is a good sign it's time for them to go, and considering how easy ours are to change, it should be a no-brainer.
