That's awsome. I don't think I will ever reach 500k on my car or keep a car long enough to reach 500k. It'll probably take me over two decades to even get there.

Guess as long as we up keep everything the car will last awhile. I paid for all the oil changes so we're good there.

Congrats! It's great that you can see that point where things start to go south, and you can make the repairs to keep it going past that. No reason you can't hit 600k in that car.

...I'm only doing about 10k a year, so I'll never reach that milestone, but it's good to know that it's just something I don't have to worry about.

*sigh* Now if only they didn't salt the roads so much in the winter... And I had a garage...

So, my water pump is finally going bad. It's making a lot of noise and the pulley is a little wobbly, but it hasn't started to leak as yet. Luckily, I have a new OEM water pump and pulley just sitting here waiting to be installed. I should replace it some time this week. Other than that, it's just my original flywheel that need to be replaced along with a new clutch kit.

Original water pump? Lasted 500K? Good stuff. Weird how some had it go at 30,40,50K....

Mine started failing around 60k miles. Trini's sedan is just amazing and keeps chugging along like a champ.

Even though my Yaris is fairly new, I fully anticipate and eventually expect to eventually attain your mileage. Hey, I am an optimist. It is a Toyota, right? :-)

How many miles do you average a year?

The average is around 15,000 miles which would only take 33 years.
