Wheelskins leather steering whel cover on my LB(pics)
A very easy mod and WOW! What a difference! I was tired of the hard rubber material of the steering wheel. It also gets too cold in the winter.
I ordered the sides perforated and red lacing. I freaking love it!

Thanks guys!
The manufacturer is www.wheelskins.com There are a few vendors, including eBay where you can get their product cheaper. I got it directly from them because I wanted the red stitching. It comes with black from the factory.

That does look good. I was afraid it wouldn't look so great around the spokes but I'm impressed. There's one for my to do list. Thanks.

looks good, almost factory... can they don them in dark grey to match the rest of the wheel?

I just ordered the charcoal one after taking a swiss army knife to the black one (don't ask) I think the charcoal will match the armrest best also

well, second time installing a wheelskins and maybe 3rd time's a charm but I'm through until I can replace the wheel with a toyota leather wheel, much better than the first time but I didn't get the bottom as even as I wanted, you did a much better job than me
by the way the charcoal matches the interior plastic better but the black is a better match for the armrest, anyway

old thread
I jumped and got a wheelskin too, ordered direct. red thread, black top and bottom, cobalt blue sides, on my red Yaris. I am digging the comfort. The hard stock wheel is rough on hands. It came out MINT because I took my time. Far better than half the pictures I see , but not better than W.A.S.P wrap. About equal. WASP's job is perfect. |
