squealing belt, but a different question
Ok, I have read over and over about the startup squeal of the Yaris belt when it is cold.
I have put on a new Bando belt, but it still squeals. I read that you need to ensure the pulleys are dry and clean before installation of the new belt so as to ensure nothing is helping it slip. My question is whether it is ok to use brake cleaner, sparingly, to clean off any residue from the pulleys (belt removed already of course). Thoughts? |
