It's warming up and I'm back over 40 mpg!

I'm happy that it's warming up and now I'm getting 40-42 mpg per tank again, sometimes a bit better. I'm still amazed at how much my fuel efficiency tanks in the winter.

Glad that I live around Phoenix, Arizona, & can average 41-42 MPG year-round. Screw winter, snow, winter wheels/tires & salt/rust.

Nice! I haven't measured mine since it warmed up. Need to start keeping track again and do a spring cleaning and some maintenance before it gets hot.

I maintain my summer MPGs over the winter by running a hot air intake.

just curious, what's your ave speed when you get 40-42mpg?

i only get 40-42mpg when i am driving at 52-55mph, feels really slow to me... on the other hand when i drive past 75mph i average at 30-32mpg...

Is this normal for 1.3L 2NZFE engine? i am well aware of DFCO and coasting to save on fuel.

whats your ave speed when you get 40-42mpg?

I can only achieve this when running at 50-55mph, kinda slow speed when applied on highways.

My last two tanks have been about 45-46 mpg. I don't have a need to do real highway driving, so speeds are typically 40-60mph. Not much stop-and-go either.

I have noticed I obtain better mileage in summer, and this is true especially if I use non-ethanol fuel. I sometimes achieve 42 or 43 MPG per tank with an automatic transmission. I consider this a win.
