Been a while.. 2 yaris's since

Howdy guys, Been lurking in the backround since my first 09 was written off.
Just one week ago today.. It happened again. Numbnutt in his Lexus and booze induced state rear ended the newer 09 and .. that is that.. DONE.

They won't repair or replace this time. So..Looking to buy a new ride altogether.
Have considered(MazdaSpeed3.. but.. spendy here)(Subaru WRX.. spendy and same as the Mazda.. no deals)
-Hyundai Genesis Couple GT,Manual 2.0 T... Not bad, but no deals. Just low % rates.
- Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV. Price is good, have driven one a year ago. 200hp/6spd and they have deals. Great % rates.etc..
All this compared to my 5dr Yaris manu, with Tokico Reds/Progress springs/rear sway bar and the Enkei's+star spec1's for the summer.. and.. Well, Its hard to match the fun factor...

Now for my interim rental... Nissan Versa.. yawwwwn... Damn.. I have been in luxury with the yaris.. then this thing.. (yes.. nothing done to it.. but.. kinda clunky/roachy)
And I took back a Kia Rio5 to the rental agency as it couldnt even push through the snow to the end of the road.. I turned around and came back.. 30 min later!! Give me something safe I asked!

What have you guys considered besides the Yaris?
I Know Florin(FMICLE) hooked up withthe Speed 3 and is loving it..

I hate decisions!
I hate getting rear ended more though!!

Wow that sucks being rear ended...twice. That is always my fear of being rear ended in the Yaris, especially if my kids are in the back. Glad you were okay, in both accidents. To replace your ride...have you seen that Scion is now in Canada at the Toyota dealership. Also, the Ford Focus has a nice hatchback...not sure if you are into domestic cars. One thing with domestic cars is you get more bells and whistles versus the imports...I know they are not as reliable as an Import but they (Ford, etc.) are starting to make some smart looking cars.

+1 on the Kia Rio 5 not being a safe car! I almost Died numerous times while driving cross country last year... 2-3 inches of snow and that car just is a death trap!

Sorry to hear your gonna give up the Yaris! Why not just buy a 2011 model and pimp it out? :-D

The 2012 Yaris should be out soon.... Check out Andy's (Thirty-nine) blog, subcompactculture.com as he has some pretty good reviews and insight on smaller new vehicles.

What do you mean "they won't repair or replace this time?" Are you saying the insurance is refusing to compensate you?

Insurance is all good. The first hit, I was able to land a used 09 with low clicks.
Now, they say.. We are paying off balance, Get a new car :)
I check subcompactculture.... hmmm.. More reading!! HAHA
Love doing research.. Love driving more though!

What about the new Ford Fiesta? May be overpriced for a subcompact, but it sure looks "bold".

I have to admit, I would definitely give the Fiesta a serious look if I were in the same situation.

Have a look at the new tC. It's supposed to be pretty sweet with the new 6 speed M.

I think its gonna be a hard sell to get anything other than the Yaris since I put them Tokico's/springs and sway bar on it... It just handled so good. And dial in what you want with the little key thing.. when you are at the track etc..
Tonight we are going to drive the Honda Civic Si, Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
And maybe the Fiesta.... cough cough..:P
