Yaris 3dr LB
Does anyone know how to make the hatch automatically lock when I close it? It appears I have to use the key to unlock (which is fine) but when I close it I also have to use the key to lock it. I want to just slam the hatch down and have it lock.

If you have Pwr Locks, you can hit either of the locking buttons (one on driver's door - other below emergency brake on center console) to lock all three doors.
Obviously, it can unlock them, too. Keyless entry KEY will also do the trick. Unfortunately, these features seem to be in very short supply on LB's.

I dont' have power locks. I just wanted it to always lock when ever you close the hatch. Like my old car. I close it, I have to open it with a key.
