difference between 1.4 d4d 75hp and 90hp

i have 2005 year yaris and would like to make it faster. i wonder if it only needs a remap or something, does anyone have a clue whats different between the old and new models? I would like to do it like the new yaris if its possible and/or easy to do. Is there any difference in the turbos or something else that is worth mentioning. what are your thoughts? thanks.

what i remeber, the 90hp version have newer generation/bigger injectors, VNT (not wastegate) Turbo and its bigger, front mounted intercooler, electronic regulatet EGR valve and electronic EGR Throttle body. Also i think there is an oilcooler/temperator alone with the oil filter. EGR gasses are also cooled.
Just some of the things i remember.

Best regard.

And one more, the exhaust manifold i build together with the turbo on the 75hp version, i have other mounting holes.

The 90hp version have seperate manifold and have a top mount tubo srewd together, and again, other mounting holes.

And another the heads a not the same as far as i know, on the intake side either.

sorry for bad enlish...

Best regards..

in other words, a remap seems to be the most efficient/cheap way to boost the power. Too bad i dont like having a remap :(

Yes, and maybe a bigger front mount intercooler.

Why do you not like a remap ?? at the same time you can disable the EGR.

well to be honest i have not done my homework, however i feel that a remap would decrease the life of some components e.g. engine...etc. I dont know where does that power come from and then again why didnt the manufacturer take advantage of modding the ecu if its so beneficial and not harmful (to some extent i guess).

now i have to read about EGR because i have absolutely zero knowledge about it (its gases i believe? something to do with NO2?)

thanks for the response, much appreciated
