Weak wiper arm spring ?

My right (passenger) side front wiper arm seems to have a lot less spring tension then my left side one, thus resulting in a less then clean swipe. I can also feel the difference in spring tension when lifting both arms up.

Does replacing the spring is a doable thing (can I get a new one ?) or is there any other way to restore the pressure of the wiper arm ?

It's more likely that your passenger side wiper is worn rather than the spring. The drivers side wiper arm is much longer so it will feel harder to lift up. The wiper arm spring can't be replaced, you need to replace the wiper arm.

I replaced both wipers in june last year. Drive side is a Bosch Icon and passenger is an Anco 31-13 series. Perhaps the Anco is shot already. I'll install a new one I had as a spare and see if it fix the issue. If it does, then I'll only buy Bosch ones.

The passenger wiper arm is much longer resulting in a longer moment arm for leverage on the spring therefore making the spring feel weak when you lift it off the windshield.

I had the same issue on a 2 month old wiper (usually they last me 6 months at least). I installed new Michelin one's and the issue went away. I'd recommend trying new wipers first before you worry about the spring tension. The tension shouldn't likely ever wear out much as it isn't constantly being compressed and stretched throughout it's life.
