abs rear hub assy and sensor change + new harness install.

4Drs. Sedan 2007

guys please give me inputs to replace these items...
Q. Do I need to remove drum brakes in order to get to hub bearing assembly?

Brakes stay just remove the four bolts that hold bearing , just remove the drum and u will see the bolts once out give it a good few hits and bearing should come loss unless ur in a salt region .

Harness is a bit of a bigger job. I removed the rear seat cushion and backrest in order to remove the plastic trim that's just behind the rear edge of the door. Once you get that out of the way you can pop out the body grommet and replace the harness.

If your location is YYZ airport, you will likely have corrosion issues. I would advise that you soak the little bolts that hold the harness bracket to the lower control arm with penetrating oil for a few days before attempting removal. The bolts are very small and can break easily.

If your bearings are noisy, by all means replace them. Not sure how much testing you have done, but if you are trying to fix an ABS problem the harnesses only might very well be the fix.
