Angry Driver Seat Loose!! Help??!!!

Hello!!

I have an 2009 1.8l TS and each time I go for a drive and i go through a bump or dip in the road the seat makes this funny noise. So I stopped today and checked. What I realized is that the driver seat is loose. Each time i push on the back rest the back part of the seat moves down and their are a lot of platy in the seat. can anyone maybe help me with this or give advice if their is some bolts i must check for tightening or something like that??

It is very irritating and any help will be appreciated!!

Thys

It's new. Warranty. Take it to the dealer.

Did you check the four bolts that hold the seat rails to the floor?

It really does sound like just a couple loose rear bolts on the rails. I'd get behind the seat to check it underneath and wiggle the seat a little

yes i have checked the bolts holding the seat to the floor and they are not loose! it get worse if you adjust the height of the seat! if you have it totally down it is less movement but as soon as you adjust it up the movement get much more.

i think it's connected to what i experience when i suddenly accelerate. it feels like the seat jerks back/moves a little on the seat tracks or rails.

my passenger seat back vibrates when empty while driving on highway but no slop on the drivers seat tracks. Call your dealerships service dept and ask them.
