2008 LB Won't start :(

Hi YW team,

So, my trusty 2008 LB YRS 1.5 has stopped starting. I wanted to access the brains trust here to see if there's anything else I could try before going to Toyota for a service.

Observations:
- Car turns over but does not turn on.
- Battery is new (~12v)
- Immobilizer appears to be off when starting the car (i.e. security light is NOT flashing
- Currently unable to see any codes from Techstream app.
- Fuel pump whirrs after turning off ignition/on.

Here's to hoping that someone here can help!

Many thanks,
Y2J

Check for spark, fuel pressure, & injector pulse.

Spark is going,
Fuel pump is priming...
Unsure how to check injector pulse - do I use a multimeter?

I would check all of your grounds on the engine block. It very quick and easy to do just use the repair manual to get an image of where and how many grounds there are. This happened to me twice in my first gen after replacing the head gasket and the car would not start but would turn over fine.

What's the fuel pressure numbers? Just because you hear it doesn't mean it putting out enough pressure to run.
I use a test light to check pulse.

A big thank you to everyone. Toyota servicing said that my suction plate from my fuel filter was faulty, and that didn't allow fuel to get to the enging. I call bullsh*t as the symptoms happened BEFORE I replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump (as per the 160k km service guidelines).

Now, car starts (a little bit lumpy on the cold idle, but once driven it's great). Unfortunately my battery is slow-leaking and is dead overnight/over the day.
