Auto Club Speedway race

We are heading out to Auto Club Speedway this weekend for the BFGoodrich Tires Super Tour and US Majors Double National Club Race.

Currently five cars in H Prod, should be a good race. I reset the HP record at the June race last year on the old 13" tire setup, hope to break the 2:00min mark with the new setup.

If you are in the area spectating is free, and there are a number of of exciting groups to watch during the weekend - I know I will be checking out the action in group 2, with GT and fast Prod cars, should be awesome.

Schedule is here: http://www.calclub.com/html/html2/ar...hedule-Jan.pdf

That's pretty amazing considering the track conditions for most of the day, there was some pretty bad rain this morning.

What time did you guys race? I was there for the Formula Vee race but didn't catch much else.

Sunday went even better than Saturday, but having a dry track will do that. Another H Prod win, and the lap record is now a 1:59.530.

On Sat Toby Larsson's STU class Toyota Celica broke, so we jokingly offered him the old B-Spec Yaris. He took us up on the offer... We made the late night run to pick the car up, then early Sat got to work getting back in race order; brake pads, proper seat mount, numbers and an annual tech. We got some take-off tires from a Spec Miata driver (Thanks Elliott Skeer Racing) and Toby made the 10:00am qual session. He was the only car in BS, but did set the lap record for that class, at a rather sleepy 2:17.191. You forget how slow a BS car is until you blow by it.

That's funny! Toby took you guys up on that offer :)

Racing is racing.

You guys are good sports for doing it, too!

Sunday's race: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJEh8HDcqv4

1st place and reset the track record again, now a 1:59.530.

The B-Spec car makes a brief appearance around the 15min mark.
