belt slipping

Replaced serpentine belt 3 months ago and it is starting to slip at start-up. Especially wuth A/C turned on. I dont think I got belt tight enough when I replaced it as I was afraid of it being too tight and burning up water pump or alternator. I have 130k miles still origional water pump and alternator

How much slack do you have? Did you accidentally get any grease or oil on the belt or pulley? Yeah you can over tighten belts but you really don't want room for slack. I always tighten mine until there is just enough tightness so there inst any slack. If it squeaks I'll tighten the bolt a 1/4 turn each time with the wrench until the belt stops slipping. However first step is to make sure the pulleys and belt are clean and free of oil and grease.

Snug it up. It has likely just experienced some initial stretch which needs to be taken up.
