Quantum turbo kit on 1NZFXE NHW20...Prius?

Greddy E-Manage Ultimate arrived today. Still haven't made any more headway on the ECM pin outs. Been referencing the 1NZFE diagram for help.

Its a metal frame simulator with all of the ecus and mechanicals exposed. Its fully functional but without power steering.. I will send a picture soon :)

Looking at these - both listed for the Toyota 1.8

23250-22040

vs

23250-0D050

Anyone know the difference?

Ya, I wasn't "watching" but kept seeing it and wasn't about to pay $1500. It had sat for months on eBay.. I suppose that it sat so long that whom ever it was... just wanted it gone.

After scouring the old threads..Looks like the Blitz guys swear by the smaller .31 gap of the BKR7EIX 2667 so that's what I bought..

Been looking into tuners in the Texas area...

PRT Performance flat out said "No!" to me and the prius. lol

MVP Motorsports Inc also said "No!"

Dallas Performance - still need to call

EngineLogics - still need to call

The company i work for has offices in Austin and Houston so if I don't have any luck in Dallas, i was planning on hitting up Meghani Motorsports in Houston - they have done some work with MapECU and a turbo 2GR lotus.

I'd definitely check out Boostlogic and or Cobb if i can get a contact to confirm what they can work with Toyotas.

Dynosaur Performance was at least able to recommend a guy, Dusty from DAP Tuning, he's been busy, but i'm following up with him. He originally thought he could tune the oem ECU. He's been anle to do some stuff with the Tunda. So far this is the most promising yet i still have my doubts knowing the past history of people attempting to modify the ecrypted toyota ecu...

I'm currently trying to figure out if I can make my own custom ECM harness so I won't have to cut up my OEM wiring. Looks painstaking and tedious....

Quantum turbo kit on 1NZFXE NHW20...Prius?

Realized my earlier post of the first ever supercharged then Turbo NHW10 1999 Classic Gen Prius story - the PDF didn't attach, so here it is again.

It's a good read - the trouble that Julian Edgar went thru to get the Prius up from 43kW (57hp) to 55kW (73hp)...a rough 30% increase in power. I'm hopefully I can get more..

The article just goes to show what i'm up against... in for a world of issues...

Summary of Turbo Modifications:
• Turbo – GT1241 from hydrogen turbo kit
• Fabricated exhaust manifold – Hydrogen Turbo Kit
• Fabricated intake and intercooler plumbing – 2 inch and 1.75 inch mandrel bent – Hydrogen Turbo Kit
• One heat range colder Iridium spark plugs – 2 step colder NGK 2667
• Intercooler – Hydrogen Turbo Kit came with a Spearco
• 2-inch exhaust – Car is already setup with a custom 2” Magnaflow exhaust.
• Airflow meter – use the one I made for my custom air intake
• Intake airbox – Will use a cone style filter, not concerned with the extra noise from not using a air box.

Still need to buy:
• GFB recirculating blow-off valve
• Turbo oil lines
• Fuel supply system – in-tank pump, external pump, two pressure regulators, solenoid, one-way valve, two control relays

Still need to figure out:
• Electronic switching of oxygen sensors and fuel pressure via the Simple Voltage Switch kit working off airflow meter signal - Hopefully the Greddy EMU will help with this.
• Airflow meter electronic interceptor – Hopefully the Greddy EMU will help with this.
• Decrease in high load boost using a solenoid-controlled bleed on BOV pressure line via Simple Voltage Switch working off airflow meter signal – Either Greddy EMU or some other Electronic boost control.
• Engine 'on' signal provided for 30 seconds after boost event via a modified Simple Voltage Switch working on hybrid ECU 'full air con request' input – still need to figure that out.

Test fit the Header and Turbo. Ordered some oil lines and connectors. Puzzle is starting to come together.

Well, this happened.

Decision has been finally made - ALL non-damaged aftermarket stuff has got to go. Car is being totaled and damage is more than the car is worth. Shameful...

All aftermarket parts being sold... :(

I'll start a new thread in the for sale section... this is painful to do.

This is my 2nd Prius to total and neither were my fault. I'm getting a check for this one, but I can't fix it for the amount, I'm getting.
