What cars do you lust for?
I'm never satisfied! I'm very happy with the BMW i3 daily driver and the Yaris for my road trips, but no matter what I have it just isn't enough!
My latest lust list ... I've always wanted a Porsche Cayman and/ or a Audi TT - these are both used and very affordable What cars do you guys lust for? |

The most expensive car I was ever interested in buying was a nicely-equipped manual 2015 Acura ILX (An adult-version last-gen Civic Si in a tuxedo really) - but opted for my 2015 manual Yaris SE instead because it really was better suited as a 'worry free', practical/economical daily driver. My tastes tend to run very practical & even minimalistic in most cases. No love of the bling here, beyond a certain modest threshold. I just don't see the appeal of high-end, expensive cars, considering how crazy drivers are, and how beat up they will get in just a few years of being exposed to 'the real world'. Then there is the theft/vandalism issues, and making yourself a target for all the scumbags out there. Thus, I doubt I would ever spend more than ~$35k for a new car, even if I won the Powerball lottery. I would be perfectly happy with certain subcompact/compact Toyotas as they were designed/equipped for certain other global markets, instead of how they are stripped/skimped for the U.S. market. Same with houses. Give me a small, practical living space house or nice+safe studio apartment in a decent part of town & I'm good to go.

Ford Focus RS. Even more so now that I've learned they're ending the production run.
As for older cars, I've always wanted a 3rd gen RX-7 (JDM goodness), '69 Hemi Charger (mopar muscle goodness) and '64 Chevy Impala (SoCal lowrider goodness). |

A friend of mine had a 2nd gen (1988, if I remember correctly) and I fit into it better than I fit in my Yaris. I could live with an extra inch or two of leg room in my Yaris. It's not enough to trouble me but I'd enjoy a little more space. |

Tesla Model S: Sleek, speedy, silent (yeah I'm a fanboy)
Ford Focus RS: big performance, small package (that's what she said?) Perhaps more sensibly (especially over here where imported cars are taxed heavily): Subaru XV. I'm not a fan of crossovers, but this one seems like a great all-rounder, and relatively inexpensive.

I'm really considering getting one of these. I'm not a truck guy though. But the deals they have on them right now are hard to pass up.
