07 Yaris Auto. ABS & Brake light staying on.
Hello everyone!
First post here. I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris Automatic. My ABS and Brake Lights are constantly staying on. They turn off for a little bit but they constantly staying on for the most part. I took it to a local shop and they are saying to replace both rear wheel bearings. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this? I bought my yaris in August with 110k miles and now its at 120k. |

Lots of mammoth historical threads on this issue. Known problem with corrosion occuring in the rear abs connectors. There are tips on attempting to clean them yourself.

So I searched the forum. Seems like people are saying to replace the wheel bearing hub (which has the abs sensor attached to it). or theres another sensor that attaches to the wheel bearing hub? Can someone clarify which parts I should look at and replace?

The threads describe procedures for disconnecting, cleaning, packing with dielectric grease and reconnecting the rear hub sensor connectors. This often solves the issue.

I had this exact problem on my car last winter. I just gave the connectors a clean when i did my spring service and it has been fine.
