Micro Image crank pulley - prototype complete!

Here it is, guys. A high quality billet aluminum crank pulley for the Yaris 1.5L.

This is #00A, our first prototype, which will be tested thoroughly before doing our production run.

The pulleys will be numbered in sequence.

This is an OEM sized pulley, but weighs LESS than the 10% underdrive pulley currently being sold! Under 12 ounces! Pricing will also be quite competitive (to be determined).

Here is the teaser pic... more to come...

So since this weighs less than the underdrive pulley it could behoove someone to switch to your product if they have the underdrive pulley? I ask this because of course having the underdrive pulley does affect battery performance which for some is a concern. Thanks Garm!

No - costs less to make, and hard enough to see in the Yaris. Also, unfinished is "all business", lol

Not now, this pulley will be win-win with OEM size and very light weight.

I have the NST-lite pulley, how does this one compare? How much lighter?

Nice to see it has some meat around the bolt hole. How about a pic of the other side?

Any speculation on what kind of gains can be expected from this much of a weight reduction of the crank pulley?

As with the NST pulleys, it's not so much a horsepower gain as it is a gain in response. Engine revs up and down much faster on throttle application. The most noticeable effect for me is on shifting, you need to shift faster in order to keep in sync!

I wonder what this will be like when combined with a light flywheel...
