DIY - Steering Wheel Head Unit Control Buttons

I have an 07 HB Yaris. I am looking to put buttons on the steering wheel to control the volume, seek, voice control of my aftermarket head unit. Has anyone does this without replacing the whole steering wheel. I am unable to find a kit that adds these features to the 07 stock steering wheel. I would be okay with running cables from the steering wheel to the head unit.

I believe ive seen some aftermarket controls you just clamp to the steering wheel. or are you wanting it to be integrated?

Either would be nice.

Not to many options with good reviews.

So if I wanted to do this:
https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Pla...+wheel+control

What else would I need to get to get it to work with a Pioneer AVH Radio?
Would i need this? https://www.amazon.com/Axxess-ASWC-1...s+Metra+ASWC-1

or is there a better integrated into the wheel way.

look at the wiring diagram for your head unit and look for the wires labeled SW1 SW2 and SWG. If your head unit comes with these then you wont need another adapter.
