N/A build completed....

okay so this is it...i really wanted to fully mod NA and see how far it goes(without internal polish etc)..it doesnt matter how slow it is, i wanted to see the maximum potential of 1nz..yes i would have made 60whp+ on honda engine with this set up but yeah....
it was a fu*ken b*tch to get and connect brake booster and evp vacuum hoses...

- k&n pod intake to tb..spacer and intake manifold..hoping this gives out at least 10whp...that intake pod sound is really annoying lol..i am going to compare from my last dyno result...
- crank and pcv delete (no law)
- lightweight pulley...rpm speed increased with this set up..around 500rpm faster..
- 320cc injector E85 with piggyback ecu control unit & 272 9.5 cams (without valve/springs) set to 7,300rpm...this was probably the biggest hp i gained....this set up gave me about 15~20whp
- grounding wire with battery safe unit
- header....probably get 2 or 3 hp out of this setup...haha...

my afr reading lean..cars slow af right now..its like going than suddenly cars going lean...lol....i will update tomorrow with retune/dyno

Wonder if you would have more luck with your tune by ditching the piggyback and using your oem ECU and have R9KTuning tweak it? He can modify A/F, timing, Set rev limiter..etc.. he’s had luck on other 1NZ Ecus...

I'm curious if the factory ecu is trying to compensate for the tune that the piggyback is trying to run through it

so it failed......a friend of mine with exact same set up with manual had 131whp...
we rechecked the engine regardig spark plugs, coil, engine compression..no leaks and new injectors...
intake manifold made over 40% air increase...oh shit right? no....this is fail for automatic transmission....they cannot handle 40% air increase like manual transmission does, even though we make extra injection to mix fuel the afr ratio is way too high(about 15 afr)..
so at the end of the day.....no intake and intake manifold for automatic transmission...lol

it can be done if i have a supercharger...but for just pure n/a...no...

its custom manifold by brd...

I guess I don't follow what happened?

Your power numbers are still awfully low for whats been done to the car, I think the piggyback isn't helping all that much. With the stock TB and intake I'm well above your power numbers. With the 272 cams your peak power should be right around 8k give or take and I would expect even higher given the short runners of that intake.

I know what I had my air filter setup like yours I was seeing 200 or so degree intake temps

I currently run a short intake sort of like that and my temps never get that high. Even in the summer sitting in traffic. When i am moving its always near ambient

What header is that? Did you replace the factory mid pipe as well?
