anyone run into problems fitting a new one on, or is it a general one-size-fits-all?

i just remember switching the boot out on my 3000gt. i had to fight for about 30 minutes with the new leather boot to fit it around the ring.

Depends on which shift boot you buy. I recommend an 06+ Yaris-specific one.

That's marcus's ride on here. My redline shift boot should be here any day.

But those are the Canadian stock seats.

(The two pictures are two different cars. The $10 ebay boot is blacksandiegovitz's car, and bottom is marcus's.)

You have to cut the shaft and re-weld the threads back on top (which is what I'm doing), or you can order a TWM short shifter to make it shorter.

Marcus cut his down by 2.7", I'm going to go for 2.5".

wish i had someone who could do that. how much does the short shift drop it?

wish there was a kit to raise that entire middle console as to divide the driver and passenger side better, and to have a closer, but shorter, shifter.

TWM lowers it by 2.4"

Racing seats would put you closer. I'm just too short for them. (5'7")
