Do you have to desolder/resolder the eeprom unit or does it just plug in?

This is what they have: http://de.toyota.ch/Images/t7_yar05_...376-336744.jpg
There's even a problem there in that US Customary Miles are not quite equal to Imperial Miles

What we need to do is contact a company that can fabricate a piece like this and notify them that there is a need in this community for a cluster with a tach.

Google, here I come.

The maximatech link won't work. I guess there is such a demand that we crashed their servers.

Oh... and good luck.

This is what my wife's Sienna has:

It has three shades of blue. When I drive it, it's hard to keep my eyes on the road.

I would kill for something like that in my Yaris.

The Epprom is a 8 pin surface mount chip it is not easy to change. I would be interested in one of those that switch km and miles. Still cant swap the prom but it could be set to your miles reading

Digital tachometers suck. Heads up displays suck, and it probably cost an arm and a leg. Plus its one more thing that some jackass will see and steal.

Do you have the part number of the Epprom smt chip? Also for curiosity, I want to borrow a cluster with tach. Does the ECU records the odo reading of each cluster installed? My yaris still on warranty and I don't want to end up fraud on it..
