hi guys...
i found one HID kits on ebay and they looks cheap...
are they good stuff to go with??

just wondering does it fit my Hatchback 2008 (fog light)?
for what i know our fog light runs on H11 55W, that's what i know about it.
for HID, is that as long as is H11 and 55W will fit our fog light??

and yet is there any tutorial showing how to install HID kits?

I know of people who have used that brand of HID and it is fine. However, if you're going to get them, please get the 35W version and not the 50-55W versions.. other drivers on the road are going to hate you for getting the 50-55W versions..

A 35W HID kit is already heaps blinding and brighter than a normal halogen setup. If you get a 50-55W kit, then you're going to be throwing so much light out that it's going to fly in all directions and blind other people. :)

what temperature rating should i use? cz BLUE beam light is illegal in Australia.

so i am planning to get a white light which give a little bit blue light.
8000K sounds good or lower? and if i lower the temperature, does it means it will lower the brightness?

i think in my case should be alright? because i m going to install the HID into my Fog light... it won't goes to high in this case right?

oh yea, one more Q. should i upgrade my headlight to HID or my fog light? cz i just replace my headlight into a 7000K bulb (not HID) few months ago which give me white with slightly blue beam light. so i am thinking of upgrading my fog light instead of my headlight since i already replace it into a 7000K bulb.
what do u think?

If you're after a white beam with a blue tinge I would go for a 6000K kit. 8000K is blue.

And 55W HID in foglight is still not a good idea.. there is too much light for that little fog lamp assembly, light will be flying in all directions. Go find a 35W H11 HID kit.. That's probably your best bet.

and yet if it gets TOO bright, wondering will i get any attraction from the road police??
because i do not want to get trouble with them..

and do u know underbody neon light is legall in Australia or not?

No problems, if it's too bright you'll definitely get the unwanted attraction from the cops.

As far as I'm aware, underbody neon lights are "legal" as long as your car is stationary (i.e. a show car on display), and "illegal" otherwise (i.e. you're driving with them on). :)

yes, pls stick with factory rating of 55w halogen or 35w hid.

also, just about any hid kit will be fine. you can look into a small ballast design, but they're all about the same. yes i know higher ends are using higher quality parts as i described in another post, but you're not gonna find hella or phillips on ebay for 50 bux. so, for that price get whatever brand and color temp you want.

yellow is a really good color for fog and rain, blue is good for nothing really, and white is good for driving. so, stick with 3500k or 5500k or close to it for peak 'performance'.

Hell, for fog lights I'd recommend going as low as 2500k if you can find the bulbs.

I hope this would help you. I know one great site, they even have installation guides and videos. And everything about HID kits and HID bulbs are there. Here's the site http://www.blindinghid.com/toyota-hid-kits/ .They got everything you need to know. They also have lots of good stuff when it comes to HID Conversion Kits. Try to check it out.

I have a problem with my HID's. For the first 2 months since i've had them, they were working fine until now. They only come on when i have a normal headlight bulb plugged into the leftover/passenger side harness. I don't know why this is happening. I was thinking of using a wire with a 10k ohm 1/4watt resistor in the middle to plug into the to top hole on one end and the other to the right hole of the left over harness. This method i found on one of the forums is for to get the high beam light to show in the guage cluster. I'm hoping that this method would substitute the "normal headlight bulb" to get the HID's to be working as well.

If anybody has any solution and knows for a fact that any of the methods is not going to work, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! THANK YOU.

3000k JDM yellow, 6000k pure white, and 8000k with a tinge of blue. 10000k is very blue.

Color values are NOT THE SAME between companies! And neither is bulb or ballast quality!

(and neither is customer service)

for the headlight you need to buy a relay because you have DRL (day runing light)
for the fog nothing special...
