I just made this thread so everyone can post there 0-60 time and quarter mile time on there vehicles.

My 07 yaris not modded, 0-60 in drive,10sec easy.... Shifting pushing 9sec but i think i could do better.

My 96 Corolla with cold air intake, 0-60 shifting, 16sec

My Sisters 91 Honda Accord with 1.8liter engine (largest of the 3), 0-60 shifting, 12 sec

Yea the yaris kicks ass.

i don't do quarter mile runs. No roads that clear.

That Evo must be barely above stock. AWD baby! Makes for a great launch. The Yaris does 60?!?

I don't think I've actually had it more than 65 mph. I like to keep the rpm below 3K. It's GREAT on the mileage. My shifts are usually at 2.5K and at 2K from 4th to 5th. 39.69 mpg on my last fillup of right around 9 gallons.

I yanked a 9.25 on bald rubbers in the cold. It doesn't matter... we're all about 5 grand short of this thing being fast in a straight line anyway.

Suspension, suspension, suspension.

Do you have an idea of what actually is a fast car?

By "i think i could do better" you mean 6 sec or less?? if not, whats the point of even time it?

"just for the fun of it", i think would be a good answer. We're human... we like to see numbers on anything we own or do

There is no such thing as a fast car... at least not as long as superbikes exist.

True, you want speed and performance for <$13,000, that's the way to go. You know the average life expectancy of a of an inexperienced rider who buys a new crotch rocket is 30 days. They are FAST and dangerous if you don't know what your doing. Hell, they can be dangerous if you do know what your doing.

Very interesting! However, the rider on that CBR600RR is a total amateur. A pro scrapes his knee in those turns. There is absolutely no way that Atom beats a 600CC superbike around a course without me riding the bike!

They're silly fast. I've seen someone pull a half-mile wheelie at 120. There is nothing quite like a superbike.

Off course we do! just want to HELP him realize that the yaris doesn't "kicks ass" on the 0-60.

If we want to kick asses and do some numbers... measure your MPG!

But don't get sad my dear HorrorCosmic, new times are to come, when we will see 2ZZ and 3S turbo Yarisssss burning tires all around town!

Aint that right eTiMaGo?

Anyway eah, the atom might not realllly be faster than a proper superbike, but it's still a pretty amazing machine

Let's just be content with what we have and make the most of it. If I have to lead the way with the maddest Yaris on the planet, so be it!

Haha, hey, stock this thing runs in the 9's 0-60... that ain't half freekin bad for a $13k car if you ask me! The unfortunate thing is that the 1NZ is such a pain in the ass to play with. If it wasn't we might be in Civic territory with the sheer diversity of methodologies available to make stock engines go fast.

Still, 9 seconds is NOT bad... oh, and why hasn't anybody talked about swapping a busa motor? Now that would be funny.
