2.4L on Yarii???

Is it possible to fit the 2.4L engine from the Camry,Rav4,tC, and gen2 xB?
even if it fits what the speed increase?, also is there a possibility of installing a turbo ang hitting 262++HP and about the same digit torque?

I never saw a Yaris with the Camry 4cylinder engine not even in the deep cyber- space...

It will be great if Toyota makes a 2.4L Yaris 4WD Turbo with 4wd controller, traction control off switch, 4wheel disc brake,6spd manual, and even convertible or retractable hard top ...

It would be cool but I don't think it would work. The 1.8ltr barely fits and the 2.4 would weigh the car down, but I guess we can dream, I could be wrong

Whats Astro-glide ???

It would be fun if we have any engine with 300HP that fits the Yaris with 4WD...

Its an awesome thought (Yaris Turbo), but I came to the realization, myself that the Yaris wasn't meant to be fast. Invest on a yaris now, enjoy it, save money, and once I can comfortably afford a fast car, then get one instead of trying to force the yaris into something it is not. It is however a very fun.

If you can swap a Tacoma engine into a Yaris you can swap anything. Its all in how big your money tree is.

The Starlet was the precursor to the Vitz/Yaris line, and it was available in Turbo variants and 4WD for years... So up until 7 years ago, Toyota had decided that it's compact B segment car ought to have good performance variant - so WTF happened?!?

I think one of the easiest swaps would be the Celica GT-S engine in there with a turbo and no one has done it yet, on the honda forums this is the main subject whos swapping what and no one has done it over here. This homo in my class has an integra and he laughs at us bcuz there is so much going on in his forum(yes i know there are alot more years and models) and not much in ours....

Toyota's gone soft... I mean, what are the sports cars they are selling today? MR-S and Celica... MR-S uses a 1ZZ engine, same damn thing we get in corollas here! At least the Celica has a high rpm engine, but even so it can't really be considered all that sporty compared to the previous generations' rally-conquering monsters.

I guess it's all about profit margins now, pandering to the larger market, forgetting the performance enthusiasts...

At least they're working on a new Supra, and possibly an AE86 successor... there is still hope!
