Question about antenna????

Picking up my brand new Yaris YRX today (graphite) cant wait
I do have a question, can the antenna be adjusted or removed or even exchanged for a smaller one?
I have a garage but it's quite low im hoping it's not going to be trouble

I bought this because it looks OEM but half the length. Reception is really good, but not quite as good as the factory antenna.

I replaced mine with a 90mm stubby, and then eventually with the Shark Fin style from Visual Garage.
Neither one gets the same reception as the factory antenna once you are away from the city.
The fin looks really good, but I eventually added a signal amp and filter behind the dash to keep the signal all the way on my 60 mile commute.

MP3 player in the aux jack still works best.

If you don't mind the look (my wife said it looked like a little RC car) the factory antenna is really durable.

Never thought about it but assumed the radio antenna was embedded in the rear window along with the defrost wires, seems to work just fine..

It is in the sedan... but apparently not in the hatchback.

Is that one rubber? I bought the J series, and the first carwash i took it through, it ripped off the tip of it. I think I now want a rubber, one piece stubby antenna so I can leave it on in car washes...

I bought a Honda S2K one last summer from a person who had a bunch for sale on here. It fits and works well:

No, it's constructed pretty much the same as OEM.

So with the REGULAR antenna -- the one that comes w/ the liftback -- Can I go through a carwash o.k.? Or is there an easy way to remove it beforehand?

It unscrews in about 10-15 seconds, if that long...remove it before going through any car wash that uses brushes (brushless are OK)...
