Fog light issue.
I know, another fog light post. But I recently replaced my fog light bulbs with the Nokya yellow bulbs and they turned on fine on install, drove around for a bit and noticed they were not on when I pulled up to my drive way. And now they will not turn on at all. So I checked the bulbs and they're fine. I took the relay out that I received in the microimage fog light kit that I bought and popped it back in and they turned back on for a bit. Next day they won't turn on again. Any ideas? Thanks.

It is likely that the relay is failing. Try bypassing it by jumping the top two terminals of the relay socket with a paper clip or piece of wire and see if they then come on. The top two are the horizontal ones which are stacked one above the other.

Jumping means inserting a piece of wire between the contacts.

Did you figure it out?
If you put bud connectors on the wires. They will rust out and no more fog light. Cut the bud connectors, solder, then use shrink tube for good connection. Im the third owner of this yaris that has 60000 miles for a 2007. So who ever did the external wiring for the fogs did a horrible job. Easy fix. Do it right the first time. |

I haven't had the time to do it yet. Been working but this weekend I am doing a bunch of stuff on my yarii so I'll definitely try those things. Thanks for the input guys.

Relay....was my first thought when i read this earleir. Seeing that "the Master," CTScott already leaned toward this...well almost assures that it is the relay...not 100% sure...but a pretty informed opinion his is.
