Exterior LED bulb Replacement & Tint
So I have switched 99% of all my exterior lights with led's and I must say I love them... BUT now my flashers do the "fast burnt out bulb flash". It kinda bothered me at first so I purchased some load equalizers to correct the problem. Now the "fast blink" has grown on me and I am not sure what wires to splice the equalizers into. Maybe I'll just leave the "fast blink"... anyone else change their bulbs to led and used a load equalizer? Opinions? Also, anyone here buy that pre-cut window for your Yaris? Yes I think I have A.D.D.

got this from Hiled...
"As far as the faster blinking, my engineers said that the proper way is to put load resisters to make the computers think it has a normal high wattage bulb connected. They didn’t recommend doing this for two reasons. You lose the benefit of the lower wattage draw from leds and you stand a good chance of frying out your computer. Load resistors absorb the wattage difference between the led draw and what the computer is used to seeing. With something like parking lights, the draw is constant and the load resistors will overheat and might cause a short. Another problem is that most cars draw power differently and choosing the right resistor is very difficult without actually testing several out on the car with that exact bulb. The led fast blinking solution modules you might find on-line suffer the same problems of heat and improper wattage draw. They should only be used on cars that just will not function without the wattage consumption (new bmws and benzs). Everyone says to just let them blink fast. Otherwise they recommend calling an automotive electrical shop (like an alternator specialist) and ask them if they would figure out and install the load resistors for you." Hope its help! |

Fast blink probably looks cool. I have brake lights and parking lights and reverse but left my turn signals incandescent. I would like to know how long life you get out of those front signals in the same housing as that halogen assuming you have halogen and not hid bulbs.
