Motor runs smoother
Has anyone else noticed after putting in Full Synthetic motor oil that the motor runs smoother.??????
Did oil change Saturday and ever since the motor runs quieter, smoother at idle, seems do downshift less on hills, and with AC on at idle the motor does not seem to stumble idle as much...... I am curious to see after a few tanks of gas if I get any MPG differance than I normally do....... So far so good with it,was on sale at Autozone for 5qts for $19.99 so I decided to get it instead..... |

I noticed the same as well. I just switched from Amsoil to royal purple. Reason being it's a PITA to get amsoil here, while royal purple is easy.

I dunno. Don't let anyone know you changed to synthetic though, this thread will head south REAL quick.

I dont know why everyone hates synthetic on here both my cars run on it. I enjoy the extended oil change interval as well. my jetta goes 10k miles on a change and it looks black as coal as soon as it touches the engine (diesel).

Yes, switched over to Redline awhile ago and noticed, and still do that it's smoother. Funny that at first I tried valvoline synthetic and found it to make the engine seem course and dumped it out after only two weeks-total waist of money, but I gave it a try.

Just put in a synthetic 0w-30 German blend with my oil change last week and I also noticed a significant change in the smoothness of the car running. No problems so far, a definite recommendation!
