Alarm help!

I picked up a great alarm for free. I have done keyless entry and power door and windows before, but this is a whole new realm of oh crap.

So I was wondering if I could get some help from those who have done an install like this...

For starters I have etimago's link for all the service pdfs. But there isn't anything wrong with a quick hey you can find that wire here type thing.

List of wires needed to find:

Brake input (+) - ?
Dome light output (-) - ?
Ignition input (+) - ?
Door trigger (+) and (-) - ?
Armed output (-) - ? Not sure what it is either
Parking light output (+/- built in relay) - ?
Horn output (-) - ?

Thanks for any help in advance!!!

i too need to find the dome light output. my alarm keeps re-arming it self not sensing a door has been open within 25sec.

o but to help you out, i was lazy and hook my parking light output to the hazard light switch in an attempt to get it to use the turn signals, but it just blinks the parking lights, i dont get it.

Dome light output (-) - This is to turn the dome on - Pink wire at the dome light. To use this you would need to ground the dome light side of the wire, and at the same time open the harness side, otherwise you will pop a fuse.

Dome light input (-) - This is to sense that the dome is on (and is the one exhacker1 is looking for) - Pink wire in pin 2 of connector K2 (6 pin connector below the one with the yellow sticky note in the image below).

Armed output (-) - Not needed (only used if the car has an OEM security module)

thanks CTScott, i have yet to try the parking light wires, on my 09 the pin 27 is light green and pin 28 is yellow, so its switched around.

i cant use the dome input with my alarm, i found because the dome light tuns on when i remote unlock which is obviously before i open a door, it thinks that a door is already open, and wont re-arm itself after "hey no door has been open yet."

Correct on the 27 and 28 colors. In the 07 and 09 EWD's its shown as 28 - Yellow, RH and 27 Green, LH.

For the door open indication, you can use the door courtesy switches. They are +12 V when the door is closed and 0 V when the door is opened.

4A - 21 Front LH
4A - 24 Front RH
4A - 20 Rear RH and LH
4A - 7 Hatch or Trunk

You can tie all of them together into a single input into the alarm, or if you need to keep them isolated, you can add a diode between each of the terminals above and the alarm input (with the stripe on the diode pointing towards the alarm input).

On that sticky, eTimago might have accidentally swapped the colors, or maybe on the Asian cars the colors are reversed.

By the way, on the door inputs, I remotely helped Taiyaki install his alarm and he used those and tied the inputs together for his.
