carbon fiber hoods

i was wondering if any aftermarket carbon fiber hoods come with a fiberglass underpanel to help protect any engine components from rain getting into it. I know the seibon VSII carbon fiber hood only comes with the mesh but if any of you know of another cf vented hood that possibly has a fiberglass underpanel info about it would be greatly appreciated.

You could make one easy enough out of plexi or something.

seibon usually isn't vented . like they have the mesh there but it's not really vented or atleast i've seen a few of their other hoods that have the vented look but not really open vents

cali yaris has one in development. For $350, it will be the cheapest alternative.

How would the venting work if there was a fibreglass underpanel blocking the opening?

Thanks Chino -
I have OEM hoods in stock, as of tomorrow for $350. I will be putting one on my car and taking some pictures of it so you can see what it looks like.

The Scion hoods we sell from this maker are very nice on top, straight weave and thick, even clear coat. Excellent fitment. The underside is black and would probably need some finishing to be totally show quality.

I will ask about a vented hood for the Yaris -- they do make one for the tC for us.

I forgot, the shipping will very likely be quite a bit less. The hood is not nearly as large as the tC hood. I won't know for sure til I pack one in a box!

OEM is all I have for now. As I said, I'll be asking the maker about a vented version tomorrow.
