Afe intake feed back required.
Hi everyone,
Looking to get some feed back on the Afe intake, Good or Bad. Ie; fitting issues , preformance , value for money and or just general thoughts. Photos would also be good. The reason for all of this is to help me and hopefully others in deciding on a possable purchase. Also can anyone confirm that these actually seal to the bonnet . Cheers . |

Easy to install, and bolts right up. Increase in MPG by a few MPG.
My short summary.

I'll be installing mine next Friday but the fitment may be different because it will connect to my Blitz intake manifold. I'll post my thoughts on it.

Before ordering mine, I talked with a few members on the very same subject. I should be able to install it this week so if you haven't ordered one by then, I'll give you my opinion. I was unable to find anyone who did not like the intake.

I have the AFE. Worth every penny. Good quality/easy instructions and install/slight hp boost when the engine really revs/ also has a really nice throaty tone when it revs above 3500 RPM.

I have an interesting observation. I have a ScanGauge II and sometimes set it to display the intake air temperature.
When I'm driving, the intake air temperature is a few degrees higher than the outside temp. When I stop at a light, the ScanGauge shows the intake air temp rising. Last night when I got home, the air temp was around 45 degrees. Intake air was measuring 48 degree. When I pulled into the driveway, I just sat there and idled while watching the intake air temp rise to 90 degrees before I got tired and went inside. I don't remember this happening when I had a TRD CAI that was sucking air from behind the headlight. I'm wondering if people with SRI's see the same thing with their ScanGauges.
