Dropped my 2012 yesterday

On my toe-boy it hurts. J/K.

I purchased a set of Eibachs from Tire Rack. Put 'em on yesterday. The drop is not drastic but they do help the stance of the car a lot IMO. Before and after measurements from the ground to the fender well make it just a few hairs over one inch all the way around. I would have liked just a small rake in the front but oh well.

The hardest part of the install was figuring out how to get the cowl/wiper assembly off. I did the whole job on impulse and did not think to take pics of the install itself but I used the sticky from the DIY section of YW and I got the basic idea.

I have yet to really get on it to test the handling but the ride feels pretty good so far.

Stock alloys and rear discs, jealous!

Nice improvement. I added Eibachs at just 30 miles on my Yaris. Recently I added Tein coil overs and the ride is still nice.

As far as discs, nice! I will be adding some to mine in the future.

I wonder how heavy those wheels are compared to the OEM from the previous gen Yaris.

Garm is gonna be pissed. Fair warning.

Yep, even a mild drop makes a world of difference in appearance. Looks sharp.

Well, I don't have a reference as to weight but they seem pretty light. Discs are nice to have on a light car like the Yaris. My wife had a Bayou Blue '07 with drums and there is a night and day difference!

Garm? I do not know of this Garm. I shopped for price and free shipping. Seemed good at 229.00 shipped...

And thanks, I think it is a nice improvement. Gotta get it washed now. New Mexico has been rough this winter-every time I wash it rain comes...

I put an aFe CAI on a few weeks back. The next mod is going to be a DC or Meghan Racing header. I have used DC before but the price of the Meghan is appealing.

Most of the braking is on the front, although I will add them eventually.

The OEM wheels from RS model are stupid heavy. Can't remember exact but was around 20 pounds a wheel. The steelies are 14. My RPF1's are 9.5.

Garm owns MicroImage, which is an official site sponsor:
http://shop.microimageonline.com/Springs_c19.htm

Eibach's a damn good brand though. Definitely an improvement over stock in form and function.
You might want to get the car properly aligned if you can... Makes a world of difference after swapping springs.

DOH! Better price too. Didn't know I could have purchased Sportline springs.....:roll eyes:

I will be purchasing my header from Garm to get my Karma back...

I usually let the car settle for a couple hundred miles and then get alignment. Probably does not matter if I do, but it makes me feel better.

I noticed in the photos that the rear wheels had disc brakes. Do 2012's have 4 wheel disc brakes?
