Is the 2006 Yaris Manual stick leather wrapped or not?

I just bought a 2007 Polar White Yaris RS B Package and the salesman that sold it to me said that the manual stick in the 2007 Yaris is not leather wrapped. I saw some pictures on the internet and it showed a leather wrapped stick and steering wheel. I just wanted to know if any current Yaris RS owners can tell me if they have a leather wrapped manual stick or not?

If the 2007 is the same as the 2006 model, then the manual stick should be leather wrapped. Check the 2006 Yaris brochure, http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObje...124080e%2ehtml

The salesman might be mixed up with the automatic. The automatic stick is not leather wrapped.

Do you know what is the difference between the 2006/07 Yaris models?

I don't know where you all see Yaris as 2007 model (unless it's the sedan), however, 2006 'RS' (selling in canada right now) DO provide leather wrapped steering wheels and stick.

the salesman told me that there would be no difference with the 2006 and 2007 model of the Yaris. He told me that if they made any changes it would be adding on more features to the existing 2006 model package, not taking anything away.

the salesman said that all 2006 model are sold out, so if people are buying a Yaris now they would get the 2007 model instead of the 2006, but will be arriving end of Fed to end of March.

The RS (I have one) in Canada has a leather wrapped shift knob, and steering wheel. The shifter boot is a stiff black rubber boot...

Cheers

Which dealership did you order from? I also ordered a 2007 RS with a B package and I was told it does include the leather wrapped shift knob.

I ordered my Yaris from Country Hills Toyota. From all the feed back so far I'am sure the sale guy just mistaken the manual stick for the automatic stick. Celica Girl when are you expecting your Yaris to arrive?

It is only the RS that gets leather wrap. With that said, it's only the knob that's leather, on both the automatic, and the 5 speed...

The 5 speed shift boot is rubber, and the automatic has a polished metal shaft...

Cheers

That is as clear a description of what is/is not available as you can get!

I happen to work at Country Hills Toyota, in the parts department mind you.
However I can guarantee you that it comes with a leather wrapped shifter knob.
