Sure, watch it, and see what real athletes are like! They go 90 minutes, not 60, no replacements except for penalties etc. And they run: not much standing around! Hockey and US football is for sissies...

^ I kind of agree with that statement.

It is an incredibly physically demanding sport, you have to be in top shape. I'd know I played for 12 years.

I dont like football or Hockey but I wouldnt call them sissies.

...at least not to their faces, haha.

Anyways, back to world cup.

anyone else catch the US's ultra lucky goal? I'll take it.

i saw it. It was crazy lucky. Just didn't have too much grip on those gloves. It's tied...I'm happy about it.

I'm rooting for USA, Korea, and Japan lol...all the teams that haven't won much/at all aside from Korea kicking Greece's ass :P

I don't like soccer but if you live in Holland you can't avoid it!
A lot of streets are totally orange right now and a lot of cars with orange flags.

Tomorrow ''we'' play the first match against Denmark.
The match is during working/ school time, a lot of schools close during that time and a lot of employees can watch the match at work or can get free.

''Hup Holland hup, laat de leeuw niet in z'n hempie staan!''.

I like to watch soccer, but also enjoy hockey!
Yeah Blackhawks!

and the ice crew girls are nice!
ice crew girls

I don't think the USA team played very well, but at least got a tie.
Felt sorry for the England goal keeper.

Yeouch! Germany 4 Australia 0

Not only did we get bent over and spanked (lose) but we lost Tim Cahill to a red card so he's out next match too and he's our best player.

+1. I played AYSO as a kid and it was still brutal with or without the coach, especially if you were bumped down to goalie because you were a 8-year-old striker with an anger/aggression problem that hated getting "tackled"

I would say Hockey is still kinda tough because of the fights that break out, but yes US Football still does suck. Rugby FTW!

England should have had that game. Sure the Green made a mistake but that was in the first half. England still had an entire half to get another goal but couldn't. Well played USA, they had chances of their own but not enough composure.

No it's because the forfather of the royal family is called ''Willem van Oranje'' - oranje means orange.

My hometown Breda is the city where the royal family lived many centuries ago.

Some hired geneologist once tried to tell my grandmother we were descended from william of orange, but I gather geneologists often try to sell people stories like that.
