How to access alternator bolt to remove alternator or replace belt

Hi all, I use a 1/4 drive 14mm socket and a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter to a big Armstrong thin head locking flex ratchet (11-994). Here's some pics.

The photos show I didn't have to remove a/c line fasteners.

Another way is a 3/8 flex ratchet and a 3/8 socket but when you break alternator bolt loose don't hit the a/c hose.

If you broke that 14mm bolt loose with a small wrench the first time you should enter arm wrestling contests. The bolt is on really really tight from the factory. After I broke loose for the 1st time it is easy to loosen as I torque it to the factory spec of 40lbft( for some reason it is on much tighter than 40lbft from factory). Now that it's torqued properly I could probably break it free with my long handle matco 1/4!drive ratchet.

I have had it out for testing. The lower bolt is long.

with my way 10mm ac bolts stay put. And a gearwrench torque wrench fits. The 3:8 to 1/4 adapter with 1/4 drive 14mm socket clear the alternator but still leaves room for ratchet to clear a/c lines. Bolt is so long I might have removed the 10mm bolts. Definitely do not have to remove 10mm bolts to move alternator to remove and tension belt.
