Mp3 player mount
Big leap for a guy like me. I stepped into the 2000s and got myself an mp3 player. Any ideas for a good mounting spot? Laying alongside the parking brake lever ain't cutting it.
Btw, the player is the Sansa clip+. I like it. It's easy to use and sounds good. 2 thumbs up in a triangle formation!

A permenant mount or just a temporary one, so you can take it out of the car and listen to it on the go?
The little storage places next to the radio stack are a good place to keep it temporarily. I use to keep my ipod under the passenger seat when I left it in my car. It stayed there for months.

Temporary would be good. It's got a handy clip on the back that I could clip onto something. Looking at the center dash by the radio, there's nothing to clip to except for the vent and that wouldn't work for several reasons. I'm thinking about making a bracket out of some metal and sliding it behind one of the plastic dash pieces. But then I'd have to spray paint the metal black so it fit in.
Better ideas???

How about simply buying some velcro. It wouldn't look pretty, but you could then easily and inexpensively put it where you wanted to, and remove it if you want to change the position.

The adhesive on velcro can be removed if you ever decide to resell the car or something along those lines. Velcro is the simplest, cheapest solution.

I have the same mp3 player, I use it for audio books everyday. I just put it into the little cubby right of the ebrake. I've tried other positions but you just end up having to much cable in the way.
