Nurburgring set-up

So I was out on Nurburgring last weekend with my buddy's mustang and really just wanted to get my Yaris out there! I'm not very savvy on set-ups and heavy mech work but can turn a wrench.
Any thoughts on a good maybe top five reasonable mods to make a 2009 3dr Yaris fun on the Ring? I got the factory/dealer lowering but maybe stablizer bars? sway bars? any specific(brands, specs, ect) would be VERY helpful. Thanks!

You lucky guy. Every track monkey here wants to run the 'Ring.

Suspension work is the best friend of the Yaris. Make the most of the small size and short wheelbase by adding coilovers, crossbars, and anything else to stiffen and stabilize the car (especially the rear end). Also helps if you run lightweight wheels on very sticky tires. Good luck, and post your times for us!

#1... A good set of front brake pads. That is a long lap, with some very high speed sections into very slow turns. Even with the relatively low terminal velocity of the Yaris, I suspect you could kill the pads very quickly.

Once upon a time i drove a Toyota Starlet around the Ring and managed to kill the brakepads in the first half of a round. They overheated and the discs went purple and golden in color.

And because the Ring is a very old racetrack your car should have enough ground clearance. Most cars driving there are not very much lowered.

If ya want to stay cheap , just get tires , brake pads and better brake fluid . Oh and maybe add some air ducts to help with cooling those brakes .

I will keep posted! Just waiting on all the goodies. I'm hoping to get my first laps in with the new set-up before the end of June because then I will be gone for a month to Romania. You know with some velcro and the center gauge cluster I might have a really good dash cam lol

Still waiting on part but ordered more.... I have SS brake lines coming. Tanabe Coil Overs and Tanabe Med. Axle over exhaust. Finally a set of NITTO NT NEO GEN 215/40/17s. Received my Pulleys and brake pads today but am waiting for a couple more parts to install all at once. Hoping for next weekend.
