Vinyl roof wrap install pics

Hi guys, just wanted to share some latest pics of my ride, before and after installation of a gloss-black vinyl on the roof. It was too late to finish the sides, but at least the whole surface is even and without any wrinkles, so I'm quite satisfied as for the first time.

Would like to hear your thoughts and all the suggestion on what can be improved are highly appreciated.

Thinking of doing this myself on my HB, thinking to do hood, roof and hatch.

How did the install go? You learn anything along the way?

Installation is pretty straightforward but you have to remember about keeping vinyl warm. I was working on it late afternoon so had to use heat gun very often, to prevent wrinkles formation. Once it gets cold, film gets firm and its easy to break the structure while stretching it.

I was following those guys' instructions and it worked for me perfectly

The HB hood will need a piece that is wider than 2'. You can make do with 2' wide vinyl but be prepared to stretch that thing a lot cuz of the bends involves on the hood.

Also make sure you get cast vinyl and not calendered vinyl. Cast takes kindly to keeping a stretched shape, while calendered does not, and will shrink back to original shape.
