2007 yaris instrument cluster dead and engine won't start

Hi all,
My wife tried to start our Yaris earlier in the week and she said it was completely dead. Today, I went to look at it and found that the engine would turnover with no issues and all electrical accessories worked fine except the instrument cluster. It would not start, not even a hint of combustion. Lights, wipers, windows, climate control fan, turn signals, and hazards all work fine. The instrument cluster shows no signs of life. No clock, odometer, fuel gauge, and backlighting is non-op when the key is is "on" position. The door ajar light functions within the cluster, but nothing else I can see. I replaced the battery, checked the cables, and all the fuses I can think of to check are good. I am at a complete loss here now. It's a manual 3 door hatchback, no engine immobilizer. Any ideas? If there is a fuse I might not have checked that may be the culprit throw it out there. Thanks.

Check the two large fusible links that are built into the black block on the positive battery terminal.

Thanks CT. Both of those links are intact and not melted.
