Good News....Yaris sales

I just heard on the news that sub-compact numbers have spiked in the past month for overall sales. Although the Ford F-150 is still the overall sales leaders.. it was closely followed by the Honda Civic, Mazda 3, and Toyota................................ YARIS!!!! That's right... People have been snapping up the hatchback in Canada like crazy.. and there are finally some numbers to really support what's being seen on the street.....

I've just seen S sedans, and regular sedans. The only liftback I've seen was parked at the gym in the handicapped spot. It was a silver base model, with crank windows. The liftbacks are scarce. I'm glad it's picking up steam, though!

And in general, Toyota just beat GM in overall sales. That was on the front page of yahoo news.

Cool!

I've seen only a white liftback around besides my silver one. Then I've only seen sedans.
I like the fact the the Yaris sales are rising though.

I really have to pinch myself every day to thank myself for getting my liftback yaris. ONe more oil spike and people will be lined up around the block trying to order a yaris or another good milage car.

I just got back from Puerto Rico.

It's like liftback heaven there.

I saw them all over. I passed a Toyota dealership and saw about two dozen on the lot. They get several colors we don't.

I have now just seen a sedan in my area which is the only one that I have seen other than my S. It was the dark blue...what ever it is called.

In Canada, living in the Vancouver area, there are quite a few Hatchbacks driving around... not too common but you'd probably see one everyday if you were driving on the road.

When I to test drive one at the dealership (beginning of July), there were probably a dozen Yaris (both HB and sedans) being sold cuz there a dozen envelopes waiting for the new owners to grab them.... I got mine like a week later :) The reason why people are buying around that time is cuz of the 1% decrease in the sales tax for Canada lol...
