I'm 6 feet tall.

Getting in and out is quite comfortable. The entrance is no way like that of a civic hatch back from the late 90s (if you've been in and out of civics). The ride height and the seating position (upright) are definitely positive.

The doors swing out nice and wide and the roof line isn't too low for you to have to bend your neck.

The only problems I've read about here is that for the more...larger or tall- long legged set of folks, the thigh support may be lacking.

I think the seats are pretty high up, as far as a car goes. I'm 5'7" and I can just slide in and out no problem.

In my old '99 Contour, I fell into the seats -- they were so low.

I've got a few years on you and I'm 6+', no problems. In fact, the entire cabin has more room than many full size cars.

I'm 6' upon the original test drive, I bumped my head on the roof getting in, after that, i've not done it anymore...lol i have plenty of leg room, but I have to sit w/ the seat completely back on the track...

My elderly parents were amazed how easy it is for them to get in and out.
Neither one of them tried the back seat, but with that grab handle in the front, they
might not have a problem with that either.

I'm 45, 6' 2" and ~210 lbs. I have no problems getting in or out of my Yaris hatch. The Dodge Avenger I rented last week, that was a different situation!

And I agree with Sodium Duck that the seat sits high. I wish I could lower it a bit...

Cheers! M2

OP here, my stock 2000 Civic is too low IMO - the only Yaris I tried was better but that was at a car show earlier this year so am glad to hear this !

You may find the hatch easier to get in and out of as it sits higher than the sedan.

I parked next to a Camery and it seems that the Yaris is 1 - 2 inches higher.

Try getting in and out of a Fiero (basically sit on the ground and then hoist yourself in, LOL). My Echo hatch is a piece of cake compared to that.

I'm 38, 6' and 250lbs with bad knees and I can get in or out of the back seat with ease. The fronts are a no brainer, easy peazy.

I don't know exactly how high Yaris is, but when I sit on Yaris LB, it feels like it's between regular car and 1st gen RAV4.
It feels like other cars are smaller when I drive Yaris LB
