From Japanese Nostalgic Car...

...Toyota and Mazda deepen partnership with stock stakes, US factory. More on their website here.

Interesting. I hope Mazda has some small influence on Toyota's design sense; even Ford and Chevy build better looking cars than Toyota... and Toyota keeps getting worse!

Agree. Mazda styling with Toyota reliability would be win-win.

Oh hai. Ok, the only thing Toyota is the badge, but Mazdas aren't known for being bad in the reliability department either.

[QUOTE=Thirty-Nine;801399] Mazdas aren't known for being bad in the reliability department either.

Engines are solid but their bodies are absolute garbage. I've never seen one single manufacturer have worst than Mazda. Biggest reason I've never considered one

The rx8s all had motor problems and had to be warmed up for 15 minutes then let idle for a ten minute cool down period before shut off or they throw there self out of time

You see hardly any Japanese cars on the road that have rust, even here in Canada. Yet you see quite a few rusty Mazdas around, some badly rusted.

what what? are you sure you know how rotary engines work? the main issue is that rotary engines consume oil and people do not check it and it runs low. the other issue is the apex seals and the spark plug holes. the crank is fixed to the rotors, there are no valves. there is no "timing."
